100 Meters is being directed by Kenji Iwaisawa, known for his independent film ON-GAKU: Our Sound. The film is produced by Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain, with Pony Canyon, TBS TV, and ASMIK Ace credited with production assistance. The screenplay is penned by Yasuyuki Mutō (Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway, Tokyo Revengers). Keisuke Kojima (Dororo, Monster) serves as character designer and chief animation director, while Keikankun Yamaguchi is the art director. Story Synopsis
100 Meters tells the story of Togashi, a track star blessed with natural talent. From a young age, he effortlessly wins every 100-meter race. However, his life takes a turn when Komiya, a determined transfer student lacking Togashi’s innate abilities, enters the picture. As Togashi mentors Komiya, he inadvertently fuels Komiya’s desire to win, sparking a fierce rivalry between them. Years later, the two meet again as competitors on the track, revealing their true selves and motivations.
