The suspenseful horror manga series Namidako-sama no Iu Toori, created by Lunlun Yamamoto, is set to conclude with the release of its third and final volume. Publisher Kadokawa has confirmed that the concluding volume will be available on March 14, 2025, bringing the chilling tale to a close.

A Dive into the Showa Era Mystery

Namidako-sama no Iu Toori is a horror suspense manga that transports readers to the early Showa period in Japan. The story begins with the grim discovery of a young girl’s body in a Tokyo creek. This unsettling event sets off a chain of investigations led by Police Officer Sawatari.

The Focus of the Investigation: Namidako Inukai

Sawatari’s investigation quickly centers on Namidako Inukai, the enigmatic founder of a new religious movement. As Sawatari delves deeper, he uncovers potential links between Inukai’s activities and the mysterious death, weaving a web of suspense and horror.

Publication and Development

Lunlun Yamamoto launched Namidako-sama no Iu Toori in Kadokawa’s Harta magazine in April 2021. The manga series has been serialized since then, captivating readers with its blend of historical setting, suspenseful mystery, and horror elements.

Volume Releases

The series has seen steady progress with the release of its compiled volumes:

  • Volume 1 was published in January 2023.
  • Volume 2 followed in November 2023.
  • The concluding Volume 3 is scheduled for release on March 14, 2025.

Lunlun Yamamoto’s Previous Work

Lunlun Yamamoto is also known for Swans in Space (Uchū no Swan), a manga series that was serialized irregularly in the Asahi Gakusei Shimbun newspaper from 2006 to 2009. This series was compiled into three volumes, which were later published in English by Udon Entertainment, showcasing Yamamoto’s storytelling and artistic talent.
