The upcoming anime adaptation of Fehu Kazuno’s dark fantasy light novel series, “Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin” (Isekai Mokushiroku Mynoghra: Hametsu no Bunmei de Hajimeru Sekai Seifuku), has revealed its main cast, a new key visual, and its scheduled premiere in 2025. The series, adapted from the light novel illustrated by Jun, promises a tactical fantasy world filled with adventure and dark undertones.
Main Cast Announcement
The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for the anime announced the lead voice actors who will bring the main characters to life.
- Toshiki Kumagai will voice Takuto Ira, the protagonist. Takuto is a young man who dies from illness and reincarnates as the Evil God in a world resembling his favorite strategy game, “Eternal Nations.” Kumagai expressed his excitement about the series’ unique setting of an evil nation and highlighted the many interesting elements to look forward to.
- Tomori Kusunoki will voice Sludge Witch Atou, Takuto’s loyal subordinate and a beautiful hero unit of Mynoghra. Kusunoki noted Atou’s expressive nature, with her expressions changing depending on the situation and the people she’s with, which she found challenging during the audition process.
First Look: Key Visual
Along with the cast announcement, a new key visual has been released, offering a glimpse into the anime’s aesthetic. The visual features Takuto Ira sitting on a ruined throne with Sludge Witch Atou standing beside him. Production Details and Background
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Fefu Kazuno and illustrated by Jun. The novel series began as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2017. Micro Magazine later acquired it and began publishing it under their GC Novels imprint in November 2019. As of June 2024, seven volumes have been released.
A manga adaptation, illustrated by Yasaiko Midorihana, began serialization on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker manga website in March 2020. Yen Press publishes the manga in English.
Happinet is reportedly handling the production of the anime. However, as of late January 2025, the staff and animation studio have not yet been officially announced.
Story Premise
“Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra” follows Takuto Ira, who, after succumbing to illness at a young age, is reincarnated into a world that mirrors the fantasy turn-based strategy game “Eternal Nations.” He finds himself not only in his favorite game but also as the god who commands the evil civilization Mynoghra.
The story revolves around Takuto’s journey to rebuild Mynoghra with the help of Sludge Witch Atou.
