The upcoming anime adaptation of Yuki Shiwasu’s manga, Tamon’s B-Side, has revealed a new teaser visual and additional staff members, exciting fans of the romantic comedy. The series, which follows the relationship between a dedicated fan and her idol, is slated to be exhibited at AnimeJapan 2025 in March.

While the anime adaptation of Tamon’s B-Side was announced in June 2024, recent updates have provided further insight into the production team. Chika Nagaoka (Case Closed: The Fist of Blue Sapphire) is directing the series at J.C.STAFF.

Story Premise
Tamon’s B-Side tells the story of Utage Kinoshita, a devoted fan of the idol Tamon Fukuhara from the group F/ACE. Viz Media, which publishes the English version of the manga, describes the plot as follows: Tamon is an insecure mess in real life and is considering quitting. Utage, determined to support her favorite idol, takes it upon herself to help him. The series explores the contrast between Tamon’s on-stage persona and his true self, as well as the evolving relationship between him and Utage.
Manga Background
The Tamon’s B-Side manga was originally published as a one-shot in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine in August 2021. It began serialization in the same magazine in October 2021. As of January 2025, there are ten tankobon volumes.
