Story Continuation

While an official synopsis for “Skip and Loafer” Season 2 hasn’t been revealed yet, the anime will continue to adapt the manga series by Misaki Takamatsu. Season 1 covered the manga up to chapter 23, so Season 2 will likely pick up the adaptation from chapter 24. The story follows Mitsumi Iwakura, a bright and ambitious student from a small town, who dreams of attending a prestigious university and making a positive impact on the world. She enrolls in a top-tier high school in Tokyo but is unprepared for the social complexities of city life. Fortunately, she befriends Sosuke Shima, a laid-back and handsome classmate.

Manga Source

“Skip and Loafer” is based on the manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Misaki Takamatsu. The manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine in August 2018. Seven Seas Entertainment licenses the manga in English. As of December 2024, there are 11 volumes that have been released.

Where to Watch

Crunchyroll will stream the second season, as they did with the first. The first season aired from April to June 2023 and consisted of 12 episodes.

Awaited Release

As of March 3, 2025, a release date for “Skip and Loafer” Season 2 has not yet been announced. However, with the staff and visual revealed, fans can expect more updates in the near future.
