The Fujiko F. Fujio Museum, dedicated to the creator of Doraemon and other beloved manga, will begin screening a new “Chinpui” anime short in May. This release commemorates the 40th anniversary of the “Chinpui” manga series by Fujiko F. Fujio. The short film, titled “Chinpui: Eri-sama no Good Luck,” will debut on May 21 at the museum’s F Theater, much to the delight of fans.

The new anime short celebrates the 40th anniversary of Fujiko F. Fujio’s “Chinpui” manga, which originally ran from 1985 to 1991. This special screening offers a fresh take on the classic series, promising a blend of nostalgia and new entertainment for fans of all ages.

‘Chinpui’: A Classic Manga Brought to Life

“Chinpui” is a manga series created by Fujiko F. Fujio in 1985. The story revolves around Eri Kasuga, a sixth-grade girl who is chosen to marry a prince from the planet Mahl. Chinpui, a mouse-like alien, is sent to Earth to find Eri and guide her through this unexpected situation. The manga was adapted into a 57-episode anime television series that aired from November 1989 to April 1991, along with an anime film titled “Chinpui: Eri-sama Katsudō Daishashin,” released in 1990.
