Experience Infinity Castle in IMAX and More

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle will be available in both Japanese with English subtitles and with an English dub. To enhance the viewing experience, it will also be released in IMAX and other premium large formats.

What is Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle About?

The Infinity Castle Arc marks the beginning of the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan Kibutsuji.

Here’s the official story:

Tanjiro Kamado joins the Demon Slayer Corps after his sister Nezuko is turned into a demon. As Tanjiro grows stronger, he battles numerous demons alongside his comrades Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, as well as the Demon Slayer Corps’ highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira. As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engage in a group strength training program, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. With the head of the Demon Corps in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into a deep descent to the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle. And so, the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons ignites.

In this arc, the Demon Slayer Corps invades the Infinity Castle, an alternate dimension created by Muzan. The castle is an eerie and surreal space filled with seemingly endless rooms, halls, and corridors, defying the laws of physics.

Is Infinity Castle a Movie or a Season?

The Infinity Castle Arc will be adapted as a movie trilogy, rather than a full anime season.

Potential Length and Content of the Infinity Castle Films

The manga’s Infinity Castle Arc spans chapters 137-183. Some speculate that the film trilogy could also cover the Sunrise Countdown Arc (chapters 184-205), potentially bringing the entire Demon Slayer story to a close on the big screen.

It is estimated that the Infinity Castle Arc could translate to roughly 12-15 anime episodes, each around 22 minutes long. This would suggest a total runtime of approximately 6.12 hours for the entire arc.

Demon Slayer‘s Continued Success

Since its anime premiere in 2019, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has become a global phenomenon. The first film in the franchise, Mugen Train, was released in 2020 and grossed over $507 million worldwide.

The Demon Slayer manga has received critical acclaim for its art, storyline, action scenes, and characters, selling over 150 million copies by February 2021, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
