Kazuhiko Morita’s manga, Oibore Yūsha no Isekaigo (The Aged Hero’s Fantasy World Retirement Home), is set to conclude in the upcoming issue of Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine, bringing an end to the series that began in October 2023. The final chapter will be published on April 4, 2025.

A Look Back at “Oibore Yūsha no Isekaigo”

Story Premise

The manga is set in a fantasy world sixty years after its evil lord was defeated, focusing on the aging hero who led the charge to victory. Now in retirement, the hero retains his immense power but suffers from significant memory loss. The country’s leadership struggles with how to manage him. However, an unexpected event forces him and a maid to embark on a journey around the world.

Publication History

  • Launch: The manga series began its publication in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine in October 2023.
  • Compiled Volumes: Kadokawa published the second compiled book volume of the manga on November 1, 2024.
  • Ending: The series is slated to end in the May 2025 issue of Young Ace, which will be released on April 4, 2025.
