The upcoming anime adaptation of Tsukasa Tanimai’s “Teogonia” light novel series has officially announced its premiere date of April 11, 2025, along with the reveal of seven new cast members. The series is set to begin broadcasting on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS11 in Japan, with simultaneous streaming available on ABEMA.
New Cast Members Join the Fray
In addition to the previously announced main cast of Mutsumi Tamura as Kai and Kana Hanazawa as Jose, “Teogonia” has revealed the following new voice actors:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Orha: The son of the Lord of Lag Village, possessed with “guardian bearers”. He prioritizes his family’s honor above all else.
- Atsushi Miyauchi as Vegin:** The Lord of Lag Village and father to Orha. He is highly respected and dedicated to protecting the village.
- Masaya Fukunishi as Manso: A young man from Lag Village and a member of Kai’s unit. He acts like an older brother to Kai, constantly watching out for him.
- Manaka Iwami as Elsa: A young girl from Lag Village who supports the warriors by cooking and handling daily tasks.
- Hana Tamegai as Alue: A girl from the Korol tribe who believes Kai is a god and brings him offerings.
- Hiroshi Naka as Polek: The elder of the Korol tribe. He lost his sight long ago but can perceive spiritual energy.
- Banjo Ginga as Valley God.
Production Details
Teogonia is being directed by Kunihiro Mori at studio Asahi Production. Tomoyasu Okubo is in charge of series composition, while Koichiro Kawano (Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation) is handling character designs. The music is composed by Kenji Fujisawa (BAKI).

Story Overview
“Teogonia” takes place in a world engulfed in constant warfare between humans and demi-human tribes, such as the Ash Monkeys and Ogres. The story follows Kai, a young boy from the village of Rag, who dedicates his life to protecting his home. Amidst the brutal battles fought by those with immense power known as “guardian bearers,” Kai experiences a life-threatening injury that triggers memories of a past life – a world with advanced technology.

Light Novel and Manga
The Teogonia light novel series, penned by Tsukasa Tanimai and illustrated by Koichiro Kono, began in 2018 and has three volumes as of 2019. A manga adaptation by Shunsuke Aoyama has also been released. The story originated as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2017.
