The final season of the popular anime Fire Force is set to premiere with a brand new ending theme performed by the Osaka-based hip-hop group Umeda Cypher. This announcement arrives alongside the reveal of two new cast members, promising a fiery conclusion to the series. The first part of the final season will premiere on April 4, 2025, with the second part scheduled for January 2026.
“UruSiren”: Umeda Cypher’s Fiery Contribution
Umeda Cypher will perform the ending theme song “Urusiren” for the anime’s first cours (quarter of a year). Crunchyroll describes “UruSiren” as a portmanteau of “urusai (loud)” and “siren,” capturing the essence of a firetruck siren’s sound, and a fitting theme for the anime. Take-M, a member of Umeda Cypher, stated that the group’s creativity was inspired by the Fire Force series and that “Umeda Cypher will deliver a ‘Time Has Come’ number that overlaps with our feelings as we head to the stage.”.
Who is Umeda Cypher?
Umeda Cypher is a hip-hop group that originated from freestyle sessions held in Umeda, Osaka. Formed in 2007 by Funk, Yorozu, and Akirmen, the group has become a staple in the underground hip-hop scene. They gained mainstream recognition after performing on The First Take, a YouTube channel by Sony Music Japan showcasing artists in one-take live sets.
