The upcoming Teogonia anime has released its second official promotional video, featuring a preview of the opening theme song, “Shoudou” (Impulse), performed by Aimi Noda. The anime is based on Tsukasa Tanimai’s light novel series and is scheduled to premiere on April 11, 2025.

Premiere Date and Streaming Information

The Teogonia anime will debut on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS11 on April 11, 2025, at 24:30 (effectively April 12 at 12:30 a.m. JST). The show will also stream simultaneously in Japan on ABEMA, starting on April 12 at 12:30 a.m. JST. For international viewers, Crunchyroll will stream the anime outside of Japan.

Second Promotional Video

The second promotional video offers a sneak peek at the anime’s visuals and introduces Aimi Noda’s energetic opening theme, “Shoudou.

Synopsis of Teogonia

The story of Teogonia is set in a war-torn world where humans are in constant conflict with demi-human tribes, such as the Ash Monkeys (Macaque) and pig people (Ogres). Kai, a young boy from the village of Rag, dedicates his life to protecting his home.

Amidst the brutal battles fought by “guardian bearers,” Kai experiences a life-threatening injury. This injury triggers memories of a past life, revealing a world with advanced technology and knowledge beyond his current reality. As Kai grapples with these newfound memories, he finds himself caught in a larger conflict, embarking on a journey of struggle and growth in a harsh and unforgiving world.

J-Novel Club describes the plot as follows:

In the harsh region known as the borderlands, humans must fight an endless battle against demi-human creatures that come at them relentlessly, intent on taking their land and their gods… Kai’s newfound knowledge gives him a new sense of the unfair “rule set” that governs the world around him. One thing is clear: For those without a god to serve as their guardian, life is a constant struggle for survival. Thus begins the epic tale of a young boy’s ascent into a vast world filled with magic, bloodshed, and mystery.
