The Cute High Earth Defense Club franchise is set to continue its magical boy antics with a brand new television anime series titled Binan Kōkō Chikyū Bōei-bu Haikara! News of the new anime, often shortened to Cute High Earth Defense Club Haikara!, was announced alongside the opening of a teaser website featuring a new visual and staff information.
Shinji Takamatsu Returns to Direct “Haikara!”
Shinji Takamatsu, the director of the first three anime series and the recent Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love! film, will return to direct Binan Kōkō Chikyū Bōei-bu Haikara! at Studio DEEN. Studio DEEN also animated Sasaki and Miyano.
A Decade of Magical Boy Mayhem
The Cute High Earth Defense Club franchise is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025. The franchise launched its first TV series, Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!, in January 2015. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, Cute High Earth Defense Club Eternal Love! premiered in Japan on January 24, 2025.

About Cute High Earth Defense Club
Cute High Earth Defense Club is a magical boy anime series created by Kurari Umatani and produced by Diomedéa. The series is a parody of the magical girl genre, in which five male students are chosen to become the magical Battle Lovers in order to protect the Earth from evil monsters.
Premise
The story revolves around the members of the Earth Defense Club at Binan High School. One day, the club members are soaking in a hot bath when a mysterious pink wombat appears and asks them to protect the Earth. The wombat gives them magical bracelets, which transform them into Battle Lovers, who use the power of love to combat those spreading hate and discord. They face off against the Earth Conquest Club, who are under the influence of the hedgehog-like creature Zundar.
Streaming and Licensing
Crunchyroll streamed all three previous series and the LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! OVA. Ponycan USA licensed the first series in North America and released it on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
