The upcoming anime film, Mumei no Jinsei (Nameless Life), has released a new trailer, revealing ten additional cast members. This movie, directed, designed, edited, and with music composed by Ryuya Suzuki, is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on May 16, 2025.
New Cast Members Announced
The trailer revealed ten new members joining the cast:
- Taketo Tanaka as Kin
- Shōhei Uno as Hiroshi
- Remi Tyon as Hime
- Ryōtarō Nishino (from the comedy duo Synchronicity) as Smile
- Katsuya Maiguma as Yamato
- Kanji Tsuda as Shiratori
- Miho Ōhashi as Sakura
- Ayumu Nakajima as Kuzu
- Eri Kamataki as Yōko
- Tsubaki Nekoze as Kinmama
These actors join rapper ACE COOL, who stars in the film.
Production and Story
Mumei no Jinsei is produced by Kenji Iwaisawa, known for ON-GAKU: Our Sound and Hina is Beautiful. Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain is distributing the film in cooperation with Interfilm. Suzuki spent a year and a half creating the film, handling various roles including director, animation director, art director, compositing director of photography, color key artist, character designer, editor, and composer.
The film tells the story of a man who experiences bullying and isolation as a child but strives to emulate his father and become an idol. Over his 100-year lifespan, the man is known by various names, both complimentary and derogatory.

The movie unfolds across 10 chapters, delving into social issues such as:
- The dark side of the entertainment industry
- Unidentified youth deaths
- War
- Elderly drivers
Suzuki’s previous works include the short film “Mahoroba,” which won awards at Japanese independent film festivals in 2021, and the animated short “Lawless Love,” which received the Japan Grand Prix award at the New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival in 2022.
