Makina-san’s a Love Bot?!: A Robot Romance in Full Color
Yoshimi Sato’s “Makina-san’s a Love Bot?!” is a Japanese manga series that began serialization in Futabasha’s seinen manga magazine, Monthly Action, in October 2022. After the magazine ceased publication in February 2024, the series moved to the Web Comic Action website in April of the same year.
Storyline
The series revolves around Akutsu Eita, a gloomy high school student and robot otaku. One day, he discovers Agatsuma Makina, his school’s idol, outside his home. He soon learns that she is a robot created for sexual purposes. The manga explores Eita’s reaction to this revelation and his attempts to keep Makina’s identity a secret, leading to a romantic comedy with a science fiction twist.
Publication Details
Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the series for English publication. The first volume is scheduled for release in September 2025. It will be available in full-color, large-trim editions under Seven Seas’ Ghost Ship imprint, with ebook editions also available on digital platforms.
Anime Adaptation
In addition to the manga, an anime television series adaptation produced by BloomZ is set to premiere on April 7, 2025, on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji. Masayoshi Nishida is directing the anime, with Yōhei Kashii handling series composition.
I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!: From Light Novel to Manga
“I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!” (俺は星間国家の悪徳領主!, Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryōshu!) is a Japanese light novel series written by Yomu Mishima and illustrated by Nadare Takamine. It began as a web novel on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in August 2018.
Storyline
The series follows Liam, who, in his previous life, was a moral and responsible person but died in debt and betrayed by his wife. Reborn into the ruling family of a vast interstellar empire, Liam decides to live for himself and become a tyrant. However, his decisions lead to peace and prosperity, making him increasingly popular despite his intentions.
Light Novel and Manga Adaptations
Overlap acquired the series and began publishing it under their Overlap Bunko light novel imprint in July 2020. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kai Nadashima began serialization on Overlap’s Comic Gardo manga website in May 2021.
