The upcoming anime adaptation of Yūgo Kobayashi’s popular manga, “Fermat no Ryōri” (“Fermat’s Cuisine”), has revealed additional cast members and key staff roles, heightening anticipation for its July 2025 premiere. This series, which blends the worlds of mathematics and culinary arts, is set to air on TV Asahi and its 23 affiliated channels in Japan.
New Additions to the Cast
Alongside the previously announced lead voice actors, Ryōsuke Shirakawa as Gaku Kitada and Taito Ban as Kai Asakura, the anime has unveiled the following cast members:

Story Synopsis
“Fermat no Ryōri” follows Gaku Kitada, a gifted mathematics prodigy who abandons his aspirations of becoming a mathematician after facing setbacks. He encounters Kai Asakura, a young and charismatic chef, who draws him into the world of culinary arts. Gaku begins working with Kai, applying his mathematical knowledge to create innovative and delicious recipes.
Manga Background
Yūgo Kobayashi launched the “Fermat no Ryōri” manga in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine in September 2018. As of September 2023, Kodansha has published four collected volumes of the manga, with over 500,000 copies in circulation at the start of 2025 and boasting 2.3 million copies in print.
Previous Adaptation
Before the anime adaptation, “Fermat no Ryōri” was adapted into a ten-episode live-action television drama, which aired on TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System) from October to December 2023, starring Fumiya Takahashi and Jun Shison.
AnimeJapan 2025
Voice actors Taito Ban and Ryosuke Tomita are scheduled to appear at AnimeJapan 2025 for a special stage event to promote the anime.

Domerica studio is handling the animation production, with Takeshi Okamoto and Satsuki Kashiwagi serving as chief directors and character designers. Satoshi Igarashi is in charge of music composition.
