CyberAgent and CygamesPictures’ original TV anime, Apocalypse Hotel, has unveiled additional Cast Members in a new trailer, building excitement for its April 8, 2025, premiere. The series is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has disappeared, and nature is reclaiming the land. The story revolves around the “Ginzarō” hotel in Ginza, Tokyo, which is managed by robots, including the dedicated hotelier robot Yachiyo.

New Cast Members Announced

The latest trailer, revealed at AnimeJapan 2025, introduces eight new voice actors to the Apocalypse Hotel cast:

  • Sumire Morohoshi as Ponko
  • Hiroki Tochi as Doorman Robo
  • Shin-ichiro Miki as Environment Check Robot
  • Hiroyuki Kinoshita as The Owner
  • Cho as Bunbuku
  • Takako Honda as Mami
  • Mutsumi Tamura as Fuguri
  • Yoshiko Sakakibara as Mujina

These additions complement the previously announced main cast member, Saho Shirasu, who voices Yachiyo.

Production Details and Staff

Apocalypse Hotel is directed by Kana Shundo, known for her work on Luminous Witches and Princess Connect! Re:Dive. The series composition is handled by Shigeru Murakoshi (Zombie Land Saga), with original character designs by Izumi Takemoto. Natsuki Yokoyama (Gymnastics Samurai) is responsible for the anime character designs, while Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) is composing the music. Other key staff members include:

  • Art Director: Kohei Honda
  • Sound Director: Satoki Iida
  • Director of Photography: Masaharu Okazaki
  • Color design: Miyuki Sunako
  • Editing: Yumi Jinguji

Story Synopsis

The anime is set in a desolate future where mankind has vanished from Earth, and civilization has collapsed. The Ginzarō hotel, managed by Yachiyo and other robots, continues to operate despite the absence of guests. They diligently maintain the hotel while awaiting the return of their owner and the day humanity reappears.

The official synopsis states: “The Earth where mankind has disappeared and civilization has collapsed. In a desolate town, where nature has slowly reclaimed its breath, a single hotel with a long history remained standing in this world weaved by nature. “Currently, the number of guests staying: 0, new reservations for today: 0, homepage views yesterday: 0. Goal not achieved.” This is the story that unfolds in a hotel where humanity no longer exists.”

Music

The opening theme song, “skirt,” is performed by Aiko, while the ending theme song, “capsule,” is also by Aiko.
