What is ‘Bye Bye, Earth’ About?

Based on the novel by Tow Ubukata, ‘Bye Bye, Earth’ is directed by Yasuto Nishikata at LIDEN FILMS, featuring series composition by Hiroyuki Yoshino and character designs by Yuki Hino.

Crunchyroll describes the story: “Belle Lablac doesn’t really fit in as the only human being in a world full of anthropomorphic animals. No fangs, no fur, no scales, no claws. Lonely and eager to discover where she comes from, Belle journeys to find answers to the questions of her heart.”

Yen Press, which releases the novel in English, provides a further glimpse into the story: “Belle lives in a world where people take the forms of animals like cats, frogs, and mice—and she’s the odd one out! This peculiar fang-less, fur-less, scale-less, smooth-skinned girl sets off on a journey to find others like her. However, in order to travel freely, she’ll have to wield her Howling Sword and prove herself in battle!”
