The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Matsuri Isora’s light novel series, Silent Witch: Secrets of the Silent Witch, is gearing up for its premiere. A second promotional video has been released, revealing additional cast members and the theme song artists, building excitement for the July 4 debut.
The Silent Witch’s Secrets Unveiled
Silent Witch: Secrets of the Silent Witch follows Monica Everett, the only mage in the world capable of using unchanted magic. She is a celebrated hero who single-handedly defeated a legendary black dragon. Despite her incredible power, Monica is extremely shy and introverted. She mastered silent spellcasting to avoid public speaking and lacks self-confidence.
The story begins when Monica is tasked with secretly guarding the Second Prince at an elite academy. Under the alias Monica Norton, she must navigate the challenges of social interaction while protecting the prince from dark forces.
New Cast Members Join the Enchanting World
The second promotional video unveiled new additions to the cast. Hina Suguta will voice Casey Grove, while Shunichi Toki will play a mysterious man.

From Web Novel to Anime Sensation
Silent Witch: Secrets of the Silent Witch began as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in February 2020. Fujimi Shobo acquired the series and began publishing it as a light novel with illustrations by Nanna Fujimi in June 2021. A manga adaptation by Tobi Tana started serialization in B’s Log Comic in July 2021.
Yen Press has licensed the light novel and manga for English publication.
Themes and Story
Silent Witch blends adventure, fantasy, and sword and sorcery elements. The story explores themes of shyness, social anxiety, and overcoming personal challenges while protecting others. Monica’s unique ability to use voiceless magic and her secret mission add intrigue to the plot.
