The upcoming anime adaptation of Roku Sakura’s romantic comedy manga, April Showers Bring May Flowers (ブスに花束を。Busu ni Hanataba o), has revealed its opening theme song. The song, titled “BLOOM,” will be performed by the South Korean boy band TWS, featuring the Japanese singer Ayumu Imazu. This collaboration marks TWS’s Japanese debut, which is scheduled for July 2, 2025. The anime itself is set to premiere in July 2025.

April Showers Bring May Flowers is a romantic comedy manga series by Roku Sakura. It was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine from April 2016 to September 2022, and the chapters were collected into 12 tankōbon volumes. Yen Press is publishing the English version of the manga, starting in November 2024.
The story follows Hana Tabata, a high school student who considers herself unattractive and an “unattractive side character” in other people’s lives. Despite this, she enjoys reading romance manga and secretly arranges flowers in the classroom every morning. One day, Yosuke Ueno, the most popular boy in class, discovers her secret. Instead of making fun of her, he befriends her, leading Hana to slowly open up and experience changes in her life.

TWS (TWENTY FOUR SEVEN WITH US) is a six-member South Korean boy group that debuted on January 22, 2024, with their first mini-album, Sparkling Blue. The group belongs to PLEDIS Entertainment. They have received numerous awards, including eight rookie awards within a year of their debut, making them the most-awarded rookie group of 2024 in Korea. Their debut song, “plot twist,” topped the 2024 Korean music streaming charts. TWS’s music is characterized by their unique “Boyhood Pop” genre, aiming to evoke the pure and beautiful sensibilities of youth.
