The anime “Me and the Alien MuMu” is set to continue with its second cour (quarter of a year) starting July 2, 2025. A new promotional video and key visual have been released to celebrate the upcoming premiere. The video also reveals the new opening theme song, “MOVE MOVE,” performed by the artist Ako.

About Me and the Alien MuMu
Me and the Alien MuMu is a comedy manga series written and illustrated by Hiroki Miyashita. It follows the story of MuMu, a cat-like alien from a distant galaxy who arrives on Earth to study home appliance technology and recover his species’ lost technology. He ends up living with Sakurako Umeyashiki, a university student whose life is turned upside down by MuMu’s arrival.
Production
The anime is directed by Tomoya Takahashi at OLM studio. Keiichirō Ōchi handles the series scripts, Kenji Ōta designs the characters, and the Kuricorder Quartet composes the music.

Story
MuMu’s species lost their scientists and engineers in a planetary war. To regain their lost knowledge of advanced technology, MuMu and his friends travel to Earth. They crash-land in the apartment of Sakurako Umeyashiki and decide to study ordinary household appliances.
Where to Watch
The anime premiered on Tokyo MX and BS11 on April 9, 2025, and also runs on MBS.
