Tokyopop has announced a comprehensive slate of Disney-themed manga releases for Summer 2025, featuring adaptations from Disney, Pixar, and Tim Burton franchises. The releases include a new edition of Disney Alice in Wonderland Manga and a Disney Pixar: The Manga Collection box set, alongside other highly anticipated titles.
Disney Alice in Wonderland Manga
A 354-page manga adaptation of the Tim Burton-directed film, Disney Alice in Wonderland Manga is scheduled for release on August 19. Written by Jun Abe, the story follows Alice Kingsleigh as she revisits Underland and confronts the Red Queen. This specific manga was previously released in 2016 as a “Special Collector’s Manga,” a 352-page hardcover adaptation of the classic film.
Disney Pixar: The Manga Collection
The Disney Pixar: The Manga Collection Box Set is set to arrive on June 24. This compilation includes manga adaptations of several beloved Pixar films: Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, and Monsters, Inc. The box set contains 704 pages and is geared towards readers aged 5 to 9.

Beyond these key titles, Tokyopop’s Summer 2025 lineup includes several other Disney-related manga:
- Disney Descendants: Evie’s Wicked Runway – The Complete Manga Collection: This 240-page volume, written by Jason Muell with art by Natsuki Minami, will be available from August 5. It follows Evie as she participates in a fashion competition in Auradon.
- Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas – Full-Color Hardcover Edition: Also releasing on August 5, this 176-page volume adapts the 1993 animated film into manga format for readers aged six and up. It is adapted by Jason Muell with artwork by Jen Asuka and Manuel Puppo.
- Disney Pixar’s Toy Story: 30th Anniversary Manga Hardcover Edition: Scheduled for August 19, this 272-page edition includes manga versions of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 and features a foreword by Shawn P. Krause, an animator and layout artist who worked on the original Toy Story film.
These releases are part of Tokyopop’s ongoing efforts to bring family-friendly English-language manga based on Disney properties to a wider audience.
