A Perilous Journey on the Galactic Rails
The narrative of Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express plunges viewers into a cosmic escapade. The story centers on Chiharu, a super human, and Makina, a cyborg, who find themselves in legal trouble after violating space traffic laws. As a consequence of their actions, they are sentenced to community service: cleaning the dilapidated interplanetary train known as the “Milky☆Subway.” What initially appears to be a mundane task quickly spirals into chaos when the train unexpectedly rockets off into deep space. This unforeseen turn of events forces the mismatched crew to navigate a high-speed, unplanned, and principle-defying spectacle across the galaxy.
Expanding the Ensemble: New Voices Join the Galactic Crew
The sequel sees the return of Momoka Terasawa as the voice of Chiharu and Anna Nagase as Makina, building on their established chemistry from Milky☆Highway. The second trailer, however, introduced a host of new talent bolstering the cast. The newly announced voice actors and their respective roles include:

His original Milky☆Highway short, created as his graduation project for Kadokawa’s Vantan Game Academy CG Animator major in 2022, quickly achieved viral status. Fans worldwide can mark their calendars for July 3, as Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express is set for its premiere. In Japan, the short will be broadcast on the Tokyo MX channel at 9:54 p.m. JST. Simultaneously, the anime will be available for streaming globally on YouTube. To ensure broad accessibility, dubbed versions will be released in ten languages, including English, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, French, Hindi, and Russian, directly on YouTube.
