The original light novel series, Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto, written by Matsuri Isora and illustrated by Nanna Fujimi, first debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2020. Kadokawa began publishing the light novels in June 2021, with the ninth volume released in February 2025 and the tenth volume slated for summer 2025. Yen Press licenses the novels in English under the title Secrets of the Silent Witch, and they describe the story as revolving around Monica Everett, the world’s only practitioner of Voiceless Magic and a heroine who fended off the Black Dragon, despite being super-duper shy and only learning voiceless magic to avoid speaking in public. She is tasked with a top-secret mission to guard the Second Prince. A manga adaptation by Tobi Tana launched in July 2021.
