The highly anticipated Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has revealed its main theme song, “IRIS OUT,” performed by popular artist Kenshi Yonezu. The song was featured in a new trailer released during Studio MAPPA’s panel at Anime Expo 2025. This marks Yonezu’s second contribution to the Chainsaw Man anime series, following his work on the television anime’s opening theme, “KICK BACK.”
The movie is a direct sequel to the first season of the Chainsaw Man TV anime and adapts the “Reze Arc,” also known as the “Bomb Girl” arc, from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga series. Studio MAPPA is handling the animation, with Tatsuya Yoshihara taking over as director. Returning staff from Season 1 include Hiroshi Seko as the screenwriter, Kazutaka Sugiyama as the character designer, and Kensuke Ushio as the music composer.
The trailer offers a glimpse into the film’s blend of high-stakes action and emotional tension as Denji encounters Reze, a mysterious café worker whose presence significantly impacts his life. The main voice cast features Kikunosuke Toya as Denji and Reina Ueda as Reze.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is set to premiere in Japan on September 19, 2025. International release dates will begin from September 24, with the film scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on October 29, 2025, distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
