Anime streaming giant Crunchyroll has officially announced its acquisition of the streaming rights for the upcoming two-part theatrical film compilation of the first IDOLiSH7 anime season. This development ensures that fans outside of Japan will have access to the highly anticipated films, further solidifying Crunchyroll’s position as a key platform for the popular idol franchise.

The IDOLiSH7 1st Beat Compilation Films Unveiled

The IDOLiSH7 1st Beat compilation films are designed to recap the events of the original 2018 IDOLiSH7 television anime series. This two-part theatrical release offers fans a chance to experience the genesis of the IDOLiSH7 idol group on the big screen. The first part of the compilation is slated to open in Japanese theaters on October 3, 2025, with the second part following on December 5, 2025.,, These films are being screened to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the IDOLiSH7 multimedia project, which began with the release of its first smartphone game app in August 2015.

Crunchyroll’s Enduring Partnership with IDOLiSH7

Crunchyroll has a comprehensive history of streaming content from the IDOLiSH7 franchise. The platform streamed the original 17-episode first television anime season as it aired in Japan, which premiered in January 2018. Following this, Crunchyroll also streamed the IDOLiSH7 Vibrato spinoff net anime shorts, which launched in February 2018.

The streaming service continued its coverage with the second season of the main anime, IDOLiSH7 Second Beat!, which premiered in April 2020., Even when the second season faced delays due to COVID-19, Crunchyroll continued to provide access to new episodes. Similarly, IDOLiSH7 Third Beat!, the third anime season that ran for two split cours, was also streamed by Crunchyroll as it aired, with its first half premiering in July 2021 and new episodes of the second half starting in October 2022.
