Production Details and Staff Changes
Record of Ragnarok Season 3 will feature a significantly altered production staff. Koichi Hatsumi, known for his work on Tokyo Revengers, is taking over as director, succeeding Masao Okubo. Yasuyuki Muto will serve as the main writer, replacing Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and Yuta Yamada. Character designs will be handled by Yoko Tanabe and Hisashi Kawashima, a change from previous designer Masaki Sato. Yasuharu Takanashi, however, will continue as the music composer for the third season.
The animation production for Season 3 will be a collaboration between Yumeta Company and newcomer MARU Animation. Notably, Graphinica, which was previously involved in the first two seasons, is no longer listed in the production credits.
Featured Battles and Storyline
The new season is expected to continue the epic tournament between humanity and the gods, with the fate of humanity hanging in the balance. The trailer teases three major battles. The crucial seventh fight, which aims to break the 3-3 tie between gods and humans, will be a focal point. This will see Qin Shi Huang, the King of the Beginning, take on Hades, the King of Hell. Additionally, the season will feature the highly anticipated confrontations involving Nikola Tesla, Beelzebub, Leonidas, and Apollo. The manga authors, Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, have expressed their excitement for the upcoming animated battles, particularly for Nikola Tesla’s techniques.
