The new anime adaptation will feature CG animation and is officially in production by Studio Khara, known for the Evangelion series. The short film, SUGAR SUGAR RUNE Les deux sorcières, celebrates the 20th anniversary of the 2005 TV anime series and was created under the close supervision of Moyoco Anno herself.
