Manga Up! Global, Square Enix’s digital manga service, has officially added Coma Hashii’s manga adaptation of Yuuri Seo’s novel series, The Saintess Recruited a Doting King Husband (also known as Seijo ga “Amayakashite Kureru Yasashii Danna-sama” o Boshū Shitara Kokuō Heika ga Rikkōho Shitekita), to its English-language offerings. The announcement was made on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

It hosts manga series published by Square Enix and also serializes original works, many of which are derived from other media. The English-language version of the service, Manga Up! The Saintess Recruited a Doting King Husband: Story Synopsis
The manga adapts Yuuri Seo’s web novel series, which originally launched in 2022. The story centers on Stacy, a powerful saintess who has risen to a high position within the church. However, in a male-dominated society, her cruel father views her primarily as a means for political marriage. Weary of being treated as a pawn, Stacy devises a plan: she creates a list of eight highly unreasonable, non-negotiable, and self-indulgent conditions for any prospective husband, believing that no one could possibly meet them and she could thus remain happily single.
Unexpectedly, someone steps forward claiming to fulfill every single requirement—the King himself. What began as a half-serious checklist for a “perfect husband” swiftly transforms into a royal engagement. The series explores the unfolding relationship between Stacy and the King as she navigates this unforeseen turn of events.
