The official website for the anime adaptation of Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom manga has announced three additional cast members for its upcoming sixth series, set to debut in October 2025. These new voice actors will portray members of the Hi Shin (Fei Xin) Unit within the Qin military.
The newly revealed cast members and their respective roles are:
- Shō Komura as Sou Jin
- Daichi Hayashi as Sou Tan
- Yuu Hayashi as Kan To
The sixth season of Kingdom is set to feature the beginning of the battle between Qin and Zhao. In this new series, the protagonist, Xin, will take up Wang Yi’s spear and charge onto the battlefield.
Returning staff members for the sixth season include director Kenichi Imaizumi, scriptwriter Noboru Takagi, and character designer Hisashi Abe. Animation production will again be handled by Studio Pierrot and St.Signpost. Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto are returning to compose the music for the series. Ikimono-gakari will perform the opening theme song “Ikite, Sansan” (Live, Brilliantly), while Sora Tomonari will perform the ending theme song “Hōkō” (Roar).
Kingdom is a historical manga series by Yasuhisa Hara, set during China’s Warring States period (475–221 BCE). The story follows the war orphan Xin (Shin) as he strives to become a great general for the state of Qin and aid Ying Zheng, the future First Emperor of China, in unifying the nation. The manga, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in 2006, has over 110 million copies in circulation. Viz Media is set to release the manga in English, starting in November 2025.
