Anime enthusiasts in Europe and the Middle East can rejoice as Crunchyroll, the leading anime streaming service, has officially announced its acquisition of the streaming rights for the highly anticipated third season of One-Punch Man. This expansion ensures that fans across these regions will have access to the latest adventures of Saitama, the hero who defeats every opponent with a single punch. The third season is slated to premiere in October 2025.
Global Distribution and Regional Access
Crunchyroll’s acquisition of One-Punch Man Season 3 for Europe and the Middle East is part of a broader global distribution strategy for the series. While Crunchyroll will handle streaming in these territories, Viz Media has secured the master license for distribution across North America, Latin America, and Oceania. This multi-platform approach aims to maximize the reach of the popular anime, making it available to a vast international audience.
Specifically, Crunchyroll has confirmed that the third season will be available in over 40 locations within Europe and the Middle East. This includes, but is not limited to, countries such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Monaco, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Kosovo, Albania, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. For the second season, Crunchyroll had also streamed the series in Europe (excluding French- and German-speaking Europe) and the Middle East and North Africa.
What to Expect from Season 3
The third season of One-Punch Man will continue the narrative following Saitama, a hero who became overwhelmingly strong from his “special training” and now defeats even the mightiest foes with a single punch, often finding heroism quite dull. Alongside his faithful cyborg disciple, Genos, Saitama performs his official duties as a member of the Hero Association.
The plot for the new season delves into the escalating threat of the Monster Association, which has abducted a child of a Hero Association executive. This prompts the S-class heroes to mobilize and plan a raid on the Monster Association’s hideout to rescue the hostage. Additionally, Garou, a “human monster” who was taken by the Monster Association during a battle with heroes, awakens within their stronghold, adding another layer of complexity to the unfolding conflict.
Returning Production Team and Voice Cast
J.C. Staff, the animation studio responsible for the second season, is returning to animate One-Punch Man Season 3. The production team will see several key members reprise their roles, ensuring continuity in the series’ creative direction. Tomohiro Suzuki is once again in charge of the series composition, while Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, and Ryōsuke Shirakawa are returning as character designers. Makoto Miyazaki will also be back to compose the music.

Makoto Furukawa will continue to voice Saitama, Hikaru Midorikawa as Garou, and Daisuke Namikawa as Dr. Genus. Other confirmed returning voice actors include Kaito Ishikawa as Genos, Aoi Yuki as Terrible Tornado, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Silverfang, Kenjiro Tsuda as Atomic Samurai, and Minami Takayama as Child Emperor, among others.
The Legacy of One-Punch Man
The One-Punch Man anime is based on the popular manga by ONE and Yusuke Murata, which began serialization on Shueisha’s “Tonari no Young Jump” website in 2012. The series itself is a remake of ONE’s original web manga. Viz Media handles the digital and print releases of the manga in English.
The first anime season aired from October to December 2015, quickly gaining a global following for its unique blend of action, comedy, and satirical take on the superhero genre. It was streamed by Viz Media and Daisuki outside of Japan, with an English dub premiering on Adult Swim’s Toonami block in July 2016. The second season followed in April 2019, with Viz Media acquiring its master license for North America, Latin America, and Oceania, streaming it as a Hulu exclusive in those regions.
