Manga artist Yuama, widely recognized for the critically acclaimed series The Summer You Were There, is set to debut a new manga titled Tayutau Koi no Chirigawa ni (The Last Fleeting Moments of Fickle Love) on August 18. The announcement was made in the September issue of Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime magazine.

The upcoming manga, Tayutau Koi no Chirigawa ni, is scheduled for a bi-monthly serialization in Comic Yuri Hime. The magazine has offered an intriguing teaser, indicating that the story will revolve around the “prince” and “princess” of an all-girls school. The narrative is teased to commence with a secret encounter following a heartbreak, suggesting a dramatic and emotionally charged yuri romance.
Yuama’s Previous Works and Recognition
Yuama has garnered a significant following for their distinctive storytelling and artwork, particularly within the yuri genre. Their most notable work to date is The Summer You Were There (Kimi to Tsuzuru Utakata), which was serialized in Comic Yuri Hime from May 2020 to January 2024. This series concluded with six tankōbon volumes, with the final volume released in February 2024. The Summer You Were There has also been licensed for English release in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment, which released the sixth volume in January 2025. The manga received nominations for the Next Manga Award in the print manga category in both 2022 and 2023 and was a popular choice among English voters. It also ranked eighth in AnimeJapan’s “Most Wanted Anime Adaptation” poll in 2024.
Beyond The Summer You Were There, Yuama also penned The Girl I Want Is So Handsome! (Ikemen Sugidesu Shiki-senpai!), which was serialized in Comic Yuri Hime starting in 2018 and compiled into two volumes, with the final one published in October 2019. Seven Seas Entertainment has also licensed and released this series as a single omnibus volume in January 2022.
More recently, Yuama launched a spin-off manga for the BanG Dream! franchise, titled BanG Dream! It’s MyGo!!!!! Ame ni Soyoide Hare wo Kou (BanG Dream! It’s MyGo!!!!! Swaying in the Rain, Looking for the Sunshine). This manga debuted in Bushiroad’s Comic Growl (formerly Comic Bushiroad Web) in December 2024, with simultaneous Japanese and English releases. The first volume of this series was released by Kadokawa in May 2025.
The launch of Tayutau Koi no Chirigawa ni marks another anticipated addition to Yuama’s growing portfolio, building on the success and emotional depth that fans have come to expect from their works.
