The suspense horror manga Bokura no Natsu ga Saketeiku (also known as Summer’s Gonna Tear Us Apart), penned by Arata Miyatsuki and illustrated by Kentarō Satō, is set to conclude in just two more chapters. The announcement was made in the 15th issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine.
Series Background and Plot
Bokura no Natsu ga Saketeiku is a remote island suspense horror series that first began serialization in Young Animal magazine in August 2023. The story centers on a character named Itsuki, who returns to his hometown on Sengetsu Island after his younger sister, Mayu, is seriously injured. Upon his return, Itsuki is disturbed by the island’s unusually strict COVID-19 measures, which include mandatory mask-wearing even while eating. The suspense escalates when Itsuki encounters “something” near his home one night, leading him to question the true reason behind the island’s extreme precautions.
Hakusensha published the manga’s first compiled book volume in February 2024, with the fourth digital volume released on May 29, 2024.
