The highly anticipated second season of the Beyblade X anime officially premiered on Disney XD in English on Saturday, July 26, 2025. New episodes of the popular spinning-top series will air weekly on Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. EDT.

The Journey to X Tower Continues

Beyblade X centers on amateur blader Robin Kazami, who dreams of becoming a professional. After a crushing defeat leaves him without a team, Robin has a chance encounter with former champion Jaxon Cross, who now battles under the alias “Blader X.” They join forces with the mega-popular influencer Multi Nana-iro to form Team Persona, aiming to climb “The X” – a towering structure where the best bladers compete to reach the top. The ultimate goal is to challenge the reigning champions, Team Pendragon, led by Khrome Ryugu.

Season 1 Recap and Plot Foundation

The first season of Beyblade X saw Team Persona navigate the professional Beyblade scene, dealing with corporate sponsorships and earning public support, all while facing numerous formidable opponents on their quest to reach the pinnacle of the X Tower. The anime, produced by OLM, first premiered in Japan on TXN stations in October 2023. The English dub for the first season became available on Disney XD, DisneyNow, and Hulu in the United States starting July 13, 2024.

Evolution of the Series and New Story Arcs

The Beyblade X project, developed by Takara Tomy, marks the fourth generation of the Beyblade franchise, following the original 1999 Beyblade, 2008’s Beyblade: Metal Fusion, and 2015’s Beyblade Burst. The anime in Japan entered a new arc in October 2024, with the second season officially commencing on October 18, 2024. The new season introduces fresh challenges and characters, with discussions hinting at the potential for new towers or a different kind of competitive structure beyond the initial X Tower climb.

Voice Talent and Production

The English adaptation of Beyblade X features a talented cast, including Anairis Quinones, who voices Multi Nana-iro. The Japanese voice cast includes Sōma Saitō as X Kurosu, Shūichirō Umeda as Bird Kazami, and Ruriko Noguchi as Multi Nanairo. Katsuhito Akiyama serves as the chief director for the anime, with Moto Terada directing at OLM.

Musical Landscape of Season 2

For its second season, Beyblade X introduced new opening and ending themes. The new opening theme is “Rise” by Tomorrow X Together, while the new ending theme is “Stay Gold” by Ado and Jax Jones. These new themes were announced on March 21, 2025.

Accessibility and Future of Beyblade X

Beyond Disney XD, Beyblade X is also available for streaming on DisneyNow, and will be available on Hulu and Disney+ internationally with batches of multi-language episodes. The series has also launched in other regions, including Canada (Cartoon Network Canada, Disney XD Canada, Teletoon), Australia (9Go!), and New Zealand (TVNZ). The franchise continues to expand with related media, including a manga serialized in Shogakukan’s CoroCoro Comic since May 2023, and upcoming video games. The Beyblade X: XONE game is set to launch for Nintendo Switch and PC in Japan in November 2024, with BEYBLADE X EVOBATTLE slated for November 2025.
