The anime is officially scheduled to debut on October 4, 2025. First announced in March 2025 as a collaboration between CyberAgent and Kodansha, the series is being produced by studio GEKKOU. Ken Takahashi is directing the anime, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handling the series composition. Yōko Satō is responsible for character designs, and music is being composed by Diosta and High Speed Boy.

Shuichiro Umeda is cast as the protagonist, Alec. The story follows Alec, a former court magician who is suddenly dismissed for specializing only in support magic. Now jobless, Alec reunites with former academy party members and embarks on a new adventure, aiming for greater heights.
The anime is based on the fantasy light novel series written by Alto and illustrated by Yuunagi, which began as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro site in October 2020. Kodansha later acquired and published the light novel series, with a manga adaptation by Yuki Monji also currently serialized.
