Renowned voice actress Ayana Taketatsu has been officially cast in the ongoing new anime adaptation of Shō Makura and Takeshi Okano’s popular manga, Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube. Taketatsu is set to lend her voice to a benevolent Zashiki-Warashi spirit, a character that brings happiness, making her debut in the ninth episode of the series, which is scheduled to air on August 27, 2025.
A New Spirit Joins the Supernatural Battle
Ayana Taketatsu’s addition to the cast introduces a new supernatural element to the modern retelling of Jigoku Sensei Nube. Her character, a Zashiki-Warashi, is a type of house spirit traditionally believed to bring good fortune to the household it inhabits. This role marks a notable appearance in the series, further expanding the diverse array of yokai and spirits that protagonist Meisuke Nueno, affectionately known as “Nube,” encounters.
