The highly anticipated “Ryoko Kui Exhibition” and “Delicious in Dungeon Exhibition” is set to make its North American debut in New York City this fall, offering fans a unique opportunity to delve into the whimsical world of the acclaimed manga artist. The exhibition will run from October 10 to October 26, 2025, at the Chelsea Walls art gallery, located at 231 10th Avenue in New York City. This marks the first time the comprehensive showcase, which has previously toured major cities across Japan and other parts of Asia, will be available to U.S. audiences.

A Culinary Journey Through Ryoko Kui’s Imagination

The exhibition serves as a dual celebration, highlighting both the broader artistic portfolio of Ryoko Kui and the specific fantastical-culinary adventures of her hit series, Delicious in Dungeon. The series, known for its unique blend of fantasy, adventure, and gastronomic delights, has garnered significant global attention, particularly following its recent anime adaptation.

What to Expect at the Exhibition

Visitors to the “Delicious in Dungeon, Ryoko Kui Exhibition” can look forward to an immersive experience that brings Kui’s imaginative worlds to life. The showcase will feature a rich array of content, including:

  • Reproduced Artwork: An extensive selection of reproduced artwork will be on display, featuring not only iconic pieces from Delicious in Dungeon but also works from Kui’s earlier collections, such as The Dragon’s School Is on Top of the Mountain (2011), Seven Little Sons of the Dragon (2012), and Terrarium in Drawer (2013). This offers a comprehensive look at the evolution of Kui’s distinctive artistic style and storytelling.
  • Behind-the-Scenes Insights: Fans will gain unprecedented access to Ryoko Kui’s creative process through rough concept sketches, an in-depth interview, and captivating time-lapse drawing videos that reveal how her illustrations come to life.
  • Immersive Photo Spots: Interactive photo opportunities will allow attendees to step directly into the world of Delicious in Dungeon, with photo spots featuring dungeon monsters and realistic food replicas inspired by the series’ unique dishes. Previous iterations of the exhibition have included replicas of dishes like the “Huge Scorpion and Walking Mushroom Hot Pot” and monster figures such as a Golem and a frog suit.
  • Exclusive Merchandise: A range of exclusive merchandise will be available for purchase, offering fans the chance to take home a piece of the exhibition.

The Global Tour Before New York

Before its highly anticipated arrival in New York, the “Ryoko Kui Exhibition” and “Delicious in Dungeon Exhibition” has captivated audiences in various locations. It first premiered in Tokyo last year and subsequently toured major cities across Japan, including Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka, and is currently ongoing in Kumamoto. The exhibition also made its overseas debut in Hong Kong, running from April 4 to June 15, 2025, at Incubase Arena, followed by a run in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from August 1 to September 28, 2025. Each location has offered unique experiences, including themed cafes and exclusive merchandise.

Kadokawa World Entertainment, Inc., the North American arm of the KADOKAWA Group, which publishes the Delicious in Dungeon manga in English through Yen Press, is spearheading the New York event. Fans are encouraged to follow the exhibition’s official New York accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram for the latest updates on tickets and merchandise.
