The official website for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Mika Yamamori’s popular romance manga, In the Clear Moonlit Dusk (Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki), has unveiled two additional cast members for the series, set to premiere in January 2026. Aya Yamane and Momoko Seto will join the previously announced main cast, expanding the ensemble for this highly anticipated shojo adaptation.
Expanding the Cast of “In the Clear Moonlit Dusk”
Aya Yamane has been cast as Nobara Tone, while Momoko Seto will voice Kotobuki Hibiya, both classmates of the protagonist, Yoi Takiguchi. These new additions will bring further depth to the high school setting of the series, which explores themes of identity, perception, and connection through its unique central characters.
Previously Announced Main Cast and Production Details
The anime’s primary voice cast includes Rei Ichinomiya as the lead character Yoi Takiguchi, and Ryota Suzuki as Kohaku Ichimura. Yoi Takiguchi is a high school student often mistaken for a boy due to her tall stature, husky voice, and striking features, earning her the nickname “Prince.” Her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Ichimura-senpai, another “prince” at school, who sees her for who she truly is beyond her appearance.
East Fish Studio is handling the animation production for In the Clear Moonlit Dusk. The series is directed by Yusuke Maruyama, known for his work on episodes of Lycoris Recoil. Ayumu Hisao (Love of Kill, Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life) is in charge of the series composition, while Yuki Fukuda (Insomniacs After School) is designing the characters. The musical score for the anime will be composed by Tsubasa Ito, whose credits include Skeleton Knight in Another World.
Premiere and Manga Background
The In the Clear Moonlit Dusk anime is scheduled to premiere on 28 TBS affiliate networks in January 2026. The original manga, created by Mika Yamamori, began serialization in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in July 2020. It has garnered significant acclaim, ranking 11th among manga for female readers in Takarajimasha’s 2023 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook. Kodansha USA Publishing holds the English licensing rights for the manga.
