A new trailer for the highly anticipated Record of Ragnarok Season 3 anime has been released, providing fans with a first listen of the ending theme song, “Last breath, Last record,” performed by acclaimed voice actor and artist Saori Hayami. The announcement, made during Anime NYC 2025 and also highlighted at Anime Expo 2025, confirms the series will premiere exclusively on Netflix in December 2025.
Saori Hayami Lends Voice to New Ending Theme
The newly unveiled trailer offers a sneak peek at the anime’s conclusion with Saori Hayami’s “Last breath, Last record.” Hayami not only performs the song but also penned the lyrics, aiming to capture the series’ intense and emotional worldview. This release marks a significant milestone for Hayami, celebrating her 10th anniversary as an artist. The single for “Last breath, Last record” is also slated for a December 2025 release, coinciding with the anime’s debut.
Major Production Shifts and New Creative Team
Fans will notice significant changes behind the scenes for Record of Ragnarok Season 3. While Yumeta Company, which contributed to Season 1 and co-animated Season 2, continues its role, newcomer MARU Animation joins the production. Notably, Graphinica, involved in the first two seasons, is no longer listed in the animation credits.
The third season introduces a new main staff to helm the divine battles:
- Director: Koichi Hatsumi (known for Tokyo Revengers) takes over from Masao Okubo.
- Main Writer: Yasuyuki Muto (Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, Tokyo Revengers) replaces Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and Yuta Yamada.

- Round 7: Qin Shi Huang (voiced by Kaito Ishikawa) versus Hades (Ryotaro Okiayu).
- Round 8: Nikola Tesla (Makoto Furukawa) against Beelzebub (Daisuke Namikawa).
- Round 9: King Leonidas (Hiroshi Shirokuma) facing Apollo (Kenichi Suzumura).
Returning voice cast members include Miyuki Sawashiro as Brunhilde, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Göll, Wataru Takagi as Zeus, Junichi Suwabe as Hermes, and Hinata Tadokoro as Ares. Additionally, Shiori Mikami joins as Alvitr, Misako Tomioka as Göndul, and Mai Toudoh as Geirölul.
The Record of Ragnarok anime is based on the popular manga series written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, with illustrations by Azychika.
