Tokyo, Japan – August 22, 2025 – The eighth episode of “Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 2” premiered on August 20, 2025, continuing the unique isekai adventure of Boxxo, a human reincarnated as a sentient vending machine, and his formidable companion Lammis. The latest installment, available on Crunchyroll, delved into new dungeon strata, revealed the cause of recent teleportation anomalies, and explored the evolving relationships among the heroes.

Episode 8 Release and Where to Watch

“Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 2” Episode 8 was officially released on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Fans can stream the episode with English subtitles and same-day English dubs on Crunchyroll, with new episodes typically airing every Wednesday. The second season, animated by Studios Gokumi and AXsiZ, began its run on July 2, 2025, and is expected to consist of 13 episodes.

A Vending Machine’s Unexpected Journey Continues

The anime series, based on Hirukuma’s light novels, follows the extraordinary premise of an otaku who, after a fatal accident involving a vending machine, is reborn in a fantasy world as one himself. Unable to move or speak beyond programmed phrases, Boxxo utilizes his unique vending capabilities to aid adventurers and survive in a monster-infested dungeon. His journey is primarily shared with Lammis, a strong but naive hunter whose “Blessing of Might” allows her to carry Boxxo through their perilous adventures.

Unraveling the Teleportation Tampering in the Dark Forest

Episode 8 picks up with a critical development: the ongoing issue of tampered teleportation circles, which have been scattering the heroes across various dungeon strata since the betrayal by the Menagerie of Fools. Hulemy is shown working on a repaired transfer circle, but when Boxxo, Lammis, and Hulemy attempt to use it, it flashes red, indicating danger.

The mystery behind the teleportation anomalies is revealed to be a magic mark placed on Boxxo during the fight with the Menagerie of Fools. This mark has been disrupting any teleportation he is involved with. While Hulemy manages to dispel the curse left by Carrie Oil, the circle requires days to recharge, leaving Boxxo, Lammis, and Hulemy stranded in the seventh stratum: the Dark Forest.

Confronting New Threats and Old Suspicions

The Dark Forest presents a fresh challenge with its antagonistic, plant-based monsters and a curse that threatens to turn people into trees. The group soon reunites with Evie and Schway, who are battling these “veggie monsters.” They discover that defeating the stratum lord will return the cursed tree people to normal.

The episode also sees Director Bear and Kikoyu regroup with Boxxo and his companions. Amidst this chaotic reunion, Boxxo dispenses lunchboxes. Kikoyu subtly employs her mind-reading abilities to scan for the Netherlord’s commander, who is believed to be a traitor hiding among the young hunters rather than an external monster controller. This leads to the discovery of a disguised spy, who confesses to serving the Netherlord in exchange for freedom from gambling debts.

Deepening Character Bonds

Amidst the action and revelations, the emotional core of the series continues to develop. Lammis expresses her deep trust in Boxxo, confiding that she feels she can accomplish anything when he is with her, further solidifying their unique bond. Boxxo, despite his limitations, remains a central figure, providing not only sustenance but also strategic support and a sense of normalcy in their extraordinary circumstances.

As the heroes prepare to confront the Stratum Lord and break the curse of the Dark Forest, the implications of the Netherlord’s expanding influence and the internal betrayals add layers of tension to Boxxo and Lammis’s ongoing dungeon exploration.
