New Trailer Highlights and Musical Talent

The Legacy of Cat’s Eye and New Character Introduction
Tsukasa Hojo’s original Cat’s Eye manga, serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1981 to 1985, follows the Kisugi sisters—Hitomi, Rui, and Ai—who operate a café by day and transform into a notorious art thief trio by night. Their daring heists are driven by a mission to recover pieces from their missing father’s art collection. The manga previously inspired two TV anime seasons in the 1980s, running from 1983 to 1985.
A notable aspect of this new adaptation is the first-ever anime appearance of Masato Kamiya, also known as “Nezumi,” a character from the original manga who served as the basis for Ryo Saeba in Hojo’s subsequent hit series, City Hunter. Original author Tsukasa Hojo expressed his gratitude to fans for enabling the new anime and shared his excitement for Kamiya’s role, hoping City Hunter fans will enjoy seeing the origin of Ryo. This new anime aims to stay closer to the original manga’s storyline.
