Shibuya Hachi chronicles the daily, relaxed, and cheerful life of Hachi and his companions in the bustling Shibuya district of Tokyo. The anime celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Hachikō, the famed loyal dog immortalized in a bronze statue outside Shibuya Station.
The series first debuted on April 6, 2024, airing on TV Tokyo as part of the “eeny meeny miney mo” programming block. It also became available on various streaming services and YouTube shortly after its television broadcast. The first season featured voice actors such as Misaki Watada as Hachi, Akio Suyama as Mi-ke, Kana Ueda as Nana, Chihiro Uno as Harry, Kou Bonkobara as Kuro, and Kenji Nomura as Moyai.
