Plot Overview: Obi’s Rescue Arc and the Great Cataclysm
The third season continues to delve into the mysteries surrounding spontaneous human combustion and the Adolla Burst. The initial part of Season 3 primarily focused on the “Obi’s Rescue Arc.” In this arc, Captain Obi is arrested by the Imperial Army, leading Company 8 to be branded as outlaws. Shinra and Joker embark on a mission to infiltrate Fuchu Penitentiary to rescue their captain, encountering formidable opponents like Captain Burns and the White-Clad’s Destroyer, Gold. The first part also delved into Shinra’s past and the world before the first cataclysm, introducing new mysteries for the second part.
The upcoming second cour is expected to cover the manga’s concluding storylines, including the “Great Cataclysm Arc.” This arc depicts the “end of the world” as a massive Dragon engulfs much of the world in flames, with the Adolla rising. Company 8 battles to save humanity, confronting the monster unleashed by the White-Clad. It also includes the “Kusakabe History Arc,” focusing on Sho and Shinra’s family past and the origins of their birth.
