Aniplex officially released the new teaser video and a striking key visual for Rakuen Tsuihō -Expelled from Paradise- Kokoro no Resonance. The video offers an early glimpse into the world and potential narrative direction of the sequel, building anticipation for its release. While specific plot details remain largely under wraps, earlier reports, referencing a previous teaser, suggested protagonist Angela Balzac might be seen navigating a snowy wasteland, with an image of Dingo’s guitar hinting at a possible separation between the two main characters.
Original Staff Reunites for “Kokoro no Resonance”

“Expelled from Paradise”: A Look Back at the Original Film
The original Expelled from Paradise premiered in 2014 and garnered attention for its blend of 3D CGI animation and a thought-provoking science fiction narrative. Produced by Toei Animation and animated by Graphinica, the film depicted a future where humanity, after a “Nano Hazard” rendered Earth uninhabitable, abandoned their physical bodies to live as digitalized minds in the cyber universe of “DEVA.”
The story followed Angela Balzac, a DEVA agent who is dispatched to the desolate Earth in a physical “material body” to investigate unauthorized access attempts into DEVA’s mainframe. Her mission leads her to encounter Dingo, a charismatic Earth-dwelling agent, and uncover truths about humanity’s future. To commemorate its 10th anniversary, the original film recently enjoyed a 4K re-release in Japanese theaters.
