The announcement brings further details for the highly anticipated continuation of the dark drama set within the entertainment industry.

The latest reveal introduces Yuto Takenaka as Shun Yoshizumi and Yoji Ueda as Tetsu Urushibara to the voice cast for Oshi no Ko Season 3. These new additions will expand the already talented lineup. Previously, Mamoru Miyano and Hina Kino were also announced to be joining Season 3 as Hikaru Kamiki and Tsukuyomi, respectively. Mamoru Miyano expressed his honor in joining the series and his commitment to portraying the mysterious Hikaru Kamiki. Hina Kino also shared her excitement and the challenges of voicing Tsukuyomi, emphasizing the character’s unique blend of childlike appearance and mature language.
The returning main cast members for Season 3 are expected to include Takeo Otsuka as Aquamarine Hoshino, Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino, Megumi Han as Kana Arima, Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa, and Rumi Okubo as Mem-Cho.
Season 3’s Focus: The “Mainstay” Arc and Ruby’s Journey
Oshi no Ko Season 3 is set to adapt the “Mainstay” story arc from the manga, promising significant developments for each character. This arc is expected to place a heavier focus on Ruby Hoshino as she progresses further into the entertainment industry. She will be involved in filming a fictional web variety show titled “Dig Deep! One Chance!” while simultaneously delving deeper into the mystery surrounding her mother Ai Hoshino’s murder.
Voice actor Takeo Otsuka, who plays Aqua Hoshino, hinted at major character developments, stating that “there will be some major developments for each character.” The season will pick up approximately half a year after the in-universe release of “POP IN 2,” with Ruby actively pursuing the truth behind the deaths of Ai and Goro.
Production Details and Franchise Success
Studio Doga Kobo, known for its work on previous seasons, will return to helm the animation for Oshi no Ko Season 3. Daisuke Hiramaki will continue as director. The narrative explores the glamorous yet dark and often dangerous underbelly of the Japanese entertainment industry, weaving a tale of revenge, identity, and the pursuit of truth. Beyond the anime, the franchise has expanded to include live-action drama and film adaptations, further cementing its cultural impact.
