Film’s Plot and Central Conflict
The movie picks up where the second season of the TV anime left off, delving deeper into Kanna’s story. The plot sees the peaceful lives of Miss Kobayashi, Tohru, Kanna, and Ilulu disrupted by the arrival of Kanna’s father, Kamun Kamui, the leader of the Chaos Forces. He pressures Kanna to return to the Dragon World to rectify a past mistake, sparking a potential war between the Chaos and Harmony factions.
Kanna finds herself torn between her loyalty to her friends in the human world and her father’s demands. Miss Kobayashi, unwilling to let Kanna go, endeavors to mend the fractured bond between Kanna and Kamui. As dragons clash, Ilulu uncovers a hidden force manipulating the war, setting the stage for a compelling narrative that explores themes of family, loyalty, and identity. The film explores Kanna’s character development, showing her more mature and thoughtful than in previous seasons, as she begins to think and act more independently.
