The upcoming television anime adaptation of Hey’s “Kamiina Botan, Yoheru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana” (Botan Kamiina, Her Drunken Appearance Is Like a Lily Flower) manga has officially announced that Yurina Amami will be joining its cast as Akane Yusa. The news was confirmed this Friday, alongside the unveiling of a character visual and trailer for Akane.
The anime is set to premiere in April 2026.
Amami to Voice Akane Yusa
Yurina Amami will lend her voice to the character Akane Yusa, a second-year university student who is fond of the outdoors and shares a close friendship with Yaeka. Akane Yusa’s character visual and a dedicated trailer were released with the casting announcement, providing fans with a first look at her animated appearance and voice.
Expanding Cast and Production Details
Amami joins an already announced cast that includes Sayumi Suzushiro as the titular protagonist, Botan Kamiina. Other key cast members include Yoshino Aoyama as Ibuki Tonami and Minako Kotobuki as Kanade Gujō.
The anime adaptation is based on Hey’s yuri manga, which centers on Botan Kamiina, a 20-year-old college freshman whose personality becomes bolder and more surprising after she experiences her first drink. The series follows her journey exploring various types of alcohol after meeting Ibuki Tonami, her dorm leader.
Studio Soigne is in charge of the animation, with Takashi Sakuma (known for directing 16bit Sensation: Another Layer) at the helm as director. Shuntarō Tozawa is serving as assistant director, while Kou Yoshinari is responsible for character designs. Yōko Yonaiyama is handling the series scripts, and Kana Hashiguchi is composing the music.
The production team has been steadily revealing new cast members each Friday over a six-week period, building anticipation for the series’ debut.
