The upcoming television anime adaptation of Nanateru’s comedy manga Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! has revealed three new cast members joining its ensemble ahead of its October 5, 2025 premiere. Hikaru Tono, Saku Mizuno, and Sayaka Sembongi are the latest voice actors to be announced for the series.
The announcement was made during a pre-broadcast special livestream for the anime, building anticipation for its debut.

The newly revealed voice actors will join an already announced cast bringing the heartwarming, comedic story to life. The main cast includes Hika Tsukishiro as Alma, Ryota Suzuki as Enji Kamisato, and M.A.O as Suzume Yobane. Previously, Rika Nagae was cast as Makina and Hinaki Yano as Neon.
The anime, animated by Studio Flad, is directed by Yasuhiro Minami. Yukie Sugawara is overseeing the series scripts, while Mika Yamamoto is handling the character designs. The music for the series is composed by Mito of the band clammbon.

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! is based on Nanateru’s manga, which originally ran on Kadokawa’s Comic Newtype website. A sequel manga, Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai Z, began serialization on the same platform in July 2024.
The comedy centers on Alma, a highly advanced girl-type weapon with overwhelming combat efficiency. Despite her sophisticated design, Alma desires to be part of a family. This wish begins to come true as she starts living with her two eccentric genius scientist creators, Enji Kamisato and Suzume Yobane, whom she affectionately calls “Father” and “Mother.” The series explores their unconventional family dynamics as Alma navigates the world with boundless curiosity and unmatched learning capabilities.

The Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! anime is set to premiere on October 5, 2025, in Japan on channels such as AT-X, Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, TV Aichi, and BS Asahi. For international viewers, Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide, excluding Japan and mainland China.
