Fans of the culinary-themed isekai series Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill are in for a treat as Crunchyroll has confirmed a same-day English dub for its highly anticipated second season. The dubbed episodes will premiere on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, aligning with the Japanese broadcast. This announcement ensures that English-speaking audiences can immediately follow the continuing adventures of Tsuyoshi Mukoda and his fantastical familiars.

The second season, produced by Studio MAPPA, is set to continue Mukoda’s journey as he navigates a magical world, armed with his unique “Online Supermarket” skill.

Same-Day Dubbing: A Growing Trend for Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll’s commitment to same-day English dubs highlights a growing trend in the anime industry to provide immediate accessibility to international fans. While typically only a few select titles receive this expedited treatment per season, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2 joins an exclusive list, underscoring its popularity and the demand for its localized content. This approach allows viewers to enjoy the series in their preferred language without waiting weeks for dubbed versions to become available.

Returning Cast and Crew for the English Dub

The English dub will see the return of its beloved voice cast, bringing continuity to the characters. Aaron Campbell reprises his role as the mild-mannered protagonist, Tsuyoshi Mukoda. Jonah Scott returns as the legendary Fenrir, Fel, while Bryn Apprill lends her voice once more to the adorable slime, Sui. Justin Briner also returns as Dora.

The English dub production team includes:

  • Voice Director: Jerry Jewell
  • Producer: Susie Nixon
  • Adaptation: Macy Anne Johnson
  • Mixer: Matt Grounds
  • Engineer: Noah Whitehead

Other returning English cast members include Kenny James as Rodolfo, Michelle Rojas as Agni, Morgan Lauré as Kisharle, Macy Anne Johnson as Ninrir, and Jad Saxton as Ruka.

What to Expect in Season 2

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill follows Tsuyoshi Mukoda, a 27-year-old salaryman mistakenly summoned to a fantasy world. Unlike the other summoned heroes, his only skill is “Online Supermarket,” which allows him to purchase modern-day groceries and goods from Japan. This seemingly unimpressive ability proves invaluable as he uses his culinary skills to charm mythical beasts and powerful deities, forming contracts with them and embarking on a delicious journey.

The first season, which aired from January to March 2023, was well-received for its relaxing atmosphere, endearing characters, and focus on food. Season 2 promises to continue Mukoda’s adventures, likely introducing new characters and expanding on the world and its magical inhabitants, all while featuring his exquisite cooking.

Most of the original Japanese production staff from Studio MAPPA are also returning, ensuring a consistent visual and narrative style. This includes Michiko Yokote for series composition. However, there are some updates to the animation staff, with Tsuyoshi Kuwahara joining Nao Ōtsu on character designs, and Shiho Tanaka and Eriko Itō replacing Nao Ōtsu and Sara Sakoe as chief animation directors. Kenji Takahashi, known for his work on Spy×Family, will serve as assistant director. Tomoki Nagino takes over as art director, with Hisako Akagi credited for art supervision. Kana Tanabe is the new color key artist, and BAX is credited for cuisine supervision.

The second season is expected to further delve into Mukoda’s interactions with his familiars—the gluttonous Fenrir, Fel, and the adorable slime, Sui—as they continue their travels and culinary explorations across the fantasy realm.
