The new video offers a glimpse into the upcoming arc, building anticipation for fans eagerly following Rudo’s journey in the Pit. Gachiakuta is slated for 24 episodes, running for two consecutive cours without breaks until December 14, 2025.
Fresh Faces Join the Cast of Gachiakuta
Several new voice actors have been announced to bring more characters to life in the anime’s evolving narrative. The newly revealed cast members for the second half include:
- Maria Naganawa as Guita
- Mutsumi Tamura as Noerde
- Hiro Shimono as Fu
- Akio Ōtsuka as Bundus
These additions will further enrich the dystopian world of Gachiakuta, which follows Rudo, a young man falsely accused of murder and cast into the Pit, a dangerous wasteland filled with mutated garbage beasts.
New Theme Songs to Define the Next Arc
The promotional video also serves as the debut for the anime’s new musical themes.
New Opening Theme: “Let’s Just Crash” by Mori Calliope
The second opening theme song, “Let’s Just Crash,” is performed by the popular VTuber Mori Calliope. Mori Calliope, a known fan of the Gachiakuta manga, expressed her excitement for the opportunity to contribute to the anime, aiming to embody the series’ “volatile rage and righteous fury” in her song. The song’s intensity is designed to mirror protagonist Rudo’s descent and his fight for justice. The first opening theme was “HUGs” by Paledusk.
New Ending Theme: “Ban” by Karanoah
For the second half’s ending theme, the track “Ban” by Karanoah will take the spotlight. This new ending theme follows DUSTCELL’s “TOMOSHIBI,” which served as the ending theme for the first half.
The Continuing Saga of Gachiakuta
The Gachiakuta anime, produced by Bones Film, premiered in July 2025 and is based on Kei Urana’s manga series. Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga in English, describing the story of a floating town where the wealthy discard their waste and the poor, like Rudo, struggle to survive. Rudo’s wrongful conviction leads him into the Pit, where he must master a new power and join a group called the Cleaners to battle monstrous trash beasts and seek vengeance against those who wronged him. The anime is available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
