Fans in the United States and Canada eager to witness the continuation of Denji’s saga will have a chance to see “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” ahead of its general release. Crunchyroll has announced exclusive early access screenings for its Fan, Mega Fan, and Ultimate Fan members on October 22, 2025. This special event precedes the film’s wider theatrical debut in these regions on October 24, 2025.

Exclusive Early Access for Crunchyroll Subscribers

The special screenings on October 22 are a perk for Crunchyroll’s premium subscribers. Members holding Fan, Mega Fan, or Ultimate Fan tiers in the U.S. and Canada can secure their tickets for this early viewing. This initiative allows dedicated fans to experience the highly anticipated film, which is a direct sequel to the acclaimed first season of the Chainsaw Man anime series, days before the broader audience. Further details on how to verify membership and purchase tickets are available via Fandango’s early access site.

General Theatrical Release Details

Following the Crunchyroll member-exclusive screenings, “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” will officially hit theaters in the United States and Canada on October 24, 2025. The film has already begun its international rollout, with its Japanese premiere occurring on September 19, 2025. Other international territories are seeing staggered releases by Crunchyroll through Sony Pictures Releasing, with dates ranging from September 24 to October 30, 2025, across various Asian markets, Europe, and South America. The movie is also confirmed for premium formats such as IMAX, 4DX, and RealD 3D in select locations worldwide.

The runtime for “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

The Bomb Girl Arc: A Deep Dive into Denji’s World

The “Reze Arc” movie adapts the popular Bomb Girl arc (chapters 40-52) from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga series. The plot picks up directly after the events of the first anime season, making it a canonical continuation of Denji’s journey as the Chainsaw Man.

Denji’s New Encounter

The story sees Denji, a devil hunter for Public Safety’s Special Division 4, navigating his complex emotions, particularly his affection for Makima. His world is soon complicated by the arrival of Reze, a mysterious and charming girl who works at a café. Their encounter quickly blossoms into a quirky romance, but as is often the case in Denji’s life, things take a deadly turn. Reze’s true nature as the “Bomb Devil” soon comes to light, thrusting Denji into one of his most perilous and emotionally charged battles yet. The film explores themes of love, betrayal, and the constant struggle against demonic threats.

Production and Creative Team

“Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” is produced by Studio MAPPA, known for its high-quality animation work. Tatsuya Yoshihara, who served as action director and directed key episodes in the first season, takes the helm as the film’s director. Hiroshi Seko returns to pen the script, ensuring continuity with the anime series’ narrative tone and style. The main cast from the television series, including Kikunosuke Toya as Denji and Reina Ueda as Reze, reprise their roles, bringing their characters to life on the big screen.
